Robots are interesting because they exist as a real technology that you can really study – you can get a degree in robotics – and they also have all this pop-culture real estate that they take up in people’s minds.

SAFFiR, is a robot that has been developed special for extinguishing the fire. This kind of humanoid firefighting robot has been developing for years. The robot has passed the demonstration. During the series of tests held in November 2014, the humanoid robot was put in an extremely difficult situations. Any way the smart machine could handle to navigate the uneven floors identify equipment using thermal imaging and handle a hose to put out small fires.
The drone is autonomous quadcopter named Damage Control Technologies designed for the 21st century. More importantly it is designed so as it can fit in tight entrances. System uses infrared to detect fires, depth cameras which are much alike to Kinect so as to map the locations and it has the mode to communicate as it was made to relay those data to SAFFiR.  The bad side of the system is that since it’s small, the battery can last only 5 minutes. The robot’s creators intend to build new version in a way that its power source will last for up to 30 minutes.
The Robot has that special capability to perform tasks autonomously, but since the goal is for people and robots to work together in the face of danger and not to replace the sailors, it was designed to take orders from a human controller.
As for the future it is planned to develop this robot a lot more. It will be possible to enhanced intelligence, communications capabilities, speed, computing power and battery life for extended applications.
